Aiming for state
This years girls golf season was a good one for senior Makenzie Soukup. She individually won the Big 9 conference meet. She placed seventh at Section 1AA, this will be her first year going to state. The state tournament will be Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11. Soukup said, “I’m not really sure how I’m going to do. I’m just going to go out and have fun.” Her goal at the beginning of the season was to make it to state, and after the first day of sections, she knew she had a good shot. When asked what her favorite part of the season was, Soukup said, “My favorite part was definitely the team. We were so close this year and it was definitely an unforgettable senior year!” Good job Makenzie, and good luck at state!
4H and FFA are my two biggest activities. I'm also a Youth Leader at church.
