The boys cross country season is quickly coming to an end. Junior Ken Hauer said, “Like the beginning to most sports seasons, ours started off slow, and we did not place as well as we wanted to.  After the last couple of races, things are really starting to come together and we are getting our times down.  We picked up speed and hopefully, we will place high in our upcoming section meet.”  With only one race left under their racing shorts, all of their training during the season will be put to the test.  Coach Dave Chatelaine said, “Everyone on the team has been getting faster and improving with each meet.  Last week, we got second at Mankato and Farmington, fourth at Ev Berg, and 53 out of 106 teams at the University of Minnesota.”

The boys ran at home at the Brooktree Golf Course on Tuesday, October 14, at their Big 9 conference meet.  Senior captain Seth Huseby placed twelfth overall for varsity. The boys will finish off their season at home on Thursday, October 23, during sections.
