Girls Soccer finishes the season
The Owatonna girls’ soccer team had a great season finishing with an 11-5-2 record. “We had a slow start, but we grew a lot as a team,” said senior captain Sydney Kasper. They beat Rochester Century in the first round of sections, being one of their highlights of the season. The team lost to Lakeville North 5-1 in the second round of sections. Senior captain Morgan Malo said, “The things I will miss the most are the team as a whole, hanging out with the team, and our coach ,Matt (Roddy).” Losing seven seniors this year, the team will still have a good program under them. Some athletes to watch for next year are freshman Sophie Amundson, sophomore Ashley Green and Juniors Stephanie Kretlow and Arianna Olson. Be sure to wish them luck through their journey with soccer next year.
