Huskie Football loses in the second round of play offs
October 29, 2014
Owatonna football’s season came to an end Saturday night after losing to Rochester Mayo 53-7. Including the playoffs, the Huskies finished with a 6-4 record. The seniors were disappointed that their season came to an abrubt end. “I’m going to miss the team, they’re my brothers for three months of the year,” said senior captain Matt Kingland. This year’s team had many starting underclassmen, paving the way for next year’s team to come out with experience and leadership. This year’s seniors still provided leadership, knowledge, and play-making ability for their fellow classmates. “We’ll obviously miss this year’s seniors leadership on and off the field, they really helped bring along the underclassmen throughout the year,” said head coach Jeff Williams. Another year of tough, hard-working Owatonna football is over. The seniors will be missed.
