Tending to the team
The girls hockey team is 4-4 overall this season, and 3-3 in the conference. Despite some tough losses to conference teams, sophomore Jenna Bogen said, “We continue to get better by off ice training as well as practice.” On the ice, the team has strong goal tending lead by senior captain Kacy Borwege. Off the ice, the team participates in yoga every Wednesday after practice, as well as getting together for team bonding by hosting spaghetti dinners the night before a home game and dining out after most home games. “They are a hard working team and they get along well as a group. We’ve had a good start to the season and we have a lot of new players on the team. All around we continue to get stronger as we get more experience,” said assistant coach Joel Tornell. The girls played Saturday, Dec. 6 and won 4-0. Their next game is on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 pm in Faribault.
