Only a few weeks into the season, the girls basketball team is 2-4 overall and 2-1 in conference. Junior Kirstin Pumper said, “It’s a lot different compared to last year. Graduating such a strong of a senior class is hard to get used to. We are putting the pieces together and starting to read each other a lot better. I’m confident that we will be able to pull everything together and come out a stronger team each and every year.” On the court, the team is led by senior captains Sydney Kasper and Anna Edel. The team practices hard in the gym 5-6 days of the week. They constantly put new aspects into their offense and defense. For the last two years, the team has started their season by traveling to Duluth where they spend time together bonding as a team. Their next home game is on Friday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 pm against Winona.
