Swimming towards sections

The Owatonna boys swimming and diving team is heading into the second half of their season after winter break. Following some close meets with Red Wing, Northfield and Mankato East, the team is feeling confident as the section meet slowly approaches. The team has some strong swimmers, with many new athletes coming in from the Junior High school. Around one third of the team are seniors, the team is full of veterans with a strong sense of unity. “Part of the team, part of the pool,” said captain Qahir Lahka, referring to the bond needed to succeed. With a relatively small team, the Huskies look to senior captains Brodie Thiede, Micah Bigeagle and Lahka for their leadership through the season.
