Crunch time on the ice

The Owatonna boys hockey team has been working hard this season on and off the ice. “It’s a grind, we started a little slow, faced some tough opponents. Now we’re starting to play some really good hockey,” said senior captain Pete Jones.

The Huskies played Winona here at home last week, and they walked away with a crushing victory Thursday night. On Saturday night The Huskies played Faribault, in Faribault and could not pull away with that game. “The boys hockey season is going well, the team has shown great growth this season improving offensively and improving on habits.  We have a few big games left during the final few weeks before sections,” said Coach Storm late last week. Their next game is Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. The boys play Red Wing in Owatonna at the Four Seasons ice arena.
