After the end of a long season, the Owatonna boys swimming and diving team finished strong at their section meet on February 28. The swimmers were close to qualifying for the state tournament with Brodie Thiede in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle and a 200 yard relay team, the section meet went very well. Now that the season has ended, the team says goodbye to many of their swimmers, putting faith into a young group of athletes who have shown great potential throughout the season. With regard to his high school swimming career, senior Micah BigEagle said, “After six years on the team, it doesn’t feel over. It hasn’t hit me yet, but I’m glad to have ended on such a high note.” Congratulations on a great season and best of luck next year!
