The Owatonna Girls Track team is off to a promising start with their first home meet on Tuesday, April 14. Head coach Ann Christensen said, “We were ten points behind Mankato West, finishing second above Northfield.” With great weather conditions, the girls have been able to be outside for the past few weeks during practices, helping them improve on the track and on the field. Senior captain Morgan Malo said, “The girls are working hard, and we have had decent weather which has helped lift everyone’s spirits.” The teams’ end of the season goal is to finish strong at Big 9. Their next track meet is on April 18 in Austin.
