Rally up
The Owatonna Boys Lacrosse team traveled to Rochester to face conference opponents Rochester Mayo on Tuesday, May 5. The Huskies found a spark of confidence as they entered halftime with a 6-5 lead over the Spartans. Senior Captain Ben Callen said, “We wanted to keep up the energy.” The boys could not keep their momentum, though, heading into the second half as the Spartans pulled out the 17-9 victory. Head coach Scott Seykora said, “The team had the no quit, no giving up mentality.” If the Huskies build upon their first half efforts against Mayo, they could change the donut in the win column in the games to come. The Huskies look for their first win as they take on Minnehaha Academy at home on Thursday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m.
