Jones and Peglow head to State Golf
Seniors Peter Jones and Maddie Peglow’s school year has ended, but golf continues. They made state, which will be held on June 9-10, at Pebble Creek, Sand Creek and Bunker Hills golf courses. Referring to Jones, Assistant Coach Mark Langlois said, “The bigger the tournament, the better he plays. His mental game, short game and driving is spot on right now. It will be fun to see him compete for a state title next week.” Jones is also very confident with himself. Jones said, “First off, I feel great about my game coming out of the section tournament. Posting two solid consistent scores is always a good feeling. Heading into state, I’m excited to play. I know the course well, and it’s always a great experience. Just like sections, I’m trying to win, but I’m just focusing on my own game and playing the best I can.”
Maddie Peglow will also be attending the state golf tournament and is looking forward to going. Peglow said, “I am really happy in how my season went, and I am so excited to be able to end it at the state tournament.” Congratulations to these graduates and good luck at the State Meet!
