Digging Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
and the win!
Last night was the Owatonna girls volleyball team Dig Pink night for Breast Cancer Awareness, they raised over 700 dollars. The team beat Austin in a 3-0 match with set scores 25-13, 25-16, and 25-13. Due to the strong lead, they played around with the team’s positions. Junior Kaylea Ahrens, who normally plays as the team’s libero, played left side attack for the first time in four years. Although Austin held their own, the Huskies had a quick game, lasting only an hour. Junior Elisabeth Buck said, “We had a slow start but we managed to stay ahead the entire time.” The next game is Oct. 9 at Rochester John Marshall.
