As the Huskies Boys Swim and Dive season comes to an end, it is safe to say that they have had a successful season. They earned massive achievements such as placing sixth in the Big 9 and individuals having improved seasons.

During the section meet on Feb. 24-25, Senior Cole Piepho would dive his way back to state. Reigning Big 9 Conference champion and a returning state qualifier, Piepho will participate at state once again, going back to back.

Piepho said, “We’ve done pretty well this year, we did get a lot better, we won against Mankato West, who are really good.”

Piepho had an overall score of 326 at the section meet, earning third place, as the top four go to state.

Piepho said, “I need to put my approach straight up and down on the edge of the board. That way I’m really close.”

Piepho has had a remarkable senior season, where he has shown immense improvement.

Piepho has brought his energy around others, being a significant teammate to be around.

Coach Snow said, “Cole is energetic, fun to be around and always makes us laugh, he is a great kid and it’s exciting to be around.”
